Jim Parsons appeared on Friday’s “CBS This Morning,” where he talked about his role on “The Big Bang Theory” — and how it’s changed his life.

“It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Parsons says of the CBS show. “I don’t feel like I would have done Broadway yet, if it weren’t for the show. And then to boot, I love doing the show.”

He shared the best advice he’s ever gotten with Gayle King, Charlie Rose and Norah O’Donnell, and “what he’s bringing to the party” (and it’s not chips).

After his morning show appearance, he spoke to CBSNews.com exclusively about whether he’d follow in Jimmy Stewart’s footsteps and reprise his Broadway role of Elwood P. Dowd’s “Harvey” in a big-screen adaptation.

Watch the video at left to see what he has to say about playing Elwood both on Broadway and potentially on the big-screen.
